Alison Barclay is an award winning woodcarver and gardener in Niagara, Ontario. She creates traditional bird, bat and owl houses and feeders, carved animals, garden decorations and custom art pieces.
Barclay, a member of the South Niagara Artists group, was creating bird houses for years before she began carving lifelike and whimsical animals when world-renowned carver Doug Maracle handed her a piece of wood.
Having learned her craft from one of the best in the field (Doug Maracle), Alison enjoys watching her one-of-a-kind carvings come to life over the course of days, or weeks, depending on the scale of project.
Alison’s work can be seen at her home studio or at O’s By the Water (art gallery) in Port Colborne.
Alison would love to hear from you, feel free to contact her with questions or to place a custom order.
